Women's tattoos!

Taylor's tattoo - aged 23 -  The tattoo says "the dead teaching the living" in Latin. Taylor is an aspiring forensic anthropologist. Her tattoo serves as a permanent reminder of her career and passions.

My tattoo - aged 20 - Elephants are my favorite animal. They are incredibly intelligent creature that I  have always admired and had great respect for. It is said that elephants never forget. An elephant with its trunk upturned is a symbol of good luck in many cultures. This tattoo serves as a permanent reminder to never forget where I came from. I got this tattoo when I was 18. It is my second tattoo.

Megan's rabbit tattoo - aged 23 - Megan loves rabbit and considers herself an advocate for rabbits.

Another one of Megan's tattoos

My mother's tattoo - aged 46 - My mother has had this tattoo since she was 19 years old. She is Italian and is very proud of her heritage and cultural background. She chose to have the Italian flag with the American flag.

Michelle's tattoo - Michelle is a mental health case worker for adults. She has said that her tattoos help her connect with her clients and break down barriers by making them feel comfortable

Another one of my tattoo's. I have had this tattoo for almost a year. I chose this tattoo as a reminder to seek and pursue mental peace with myself, while extending that same peace to other people.

Kenzie's tattoo - Kenzie got her tattoo in Boulder, Colorado over the summer. Boulder is her favorite place in the world. The Bible verse is, "Your faith can move mountains". She said that her tattoo was fitting with her lifestyle and faith.

My cousin, Cara's tattoos - Cara is 19 years old and a cosmetology student.
Here is another one of my tattoos. I got this tattoo over the summer. My older cousin has a matching one on his arm. The tattoo is the Sicilian triskelion symbol, which is on the Sicilian flag and dates back to the thirteenth century in Palermo. The three bent legs represent the three sides of the island of Sicily. The face of Medusa is symbolic of the protection of the island. My maternal family is Sicilian. This tattoo serves as a permanent reminder of part of my culture, heritage and roots. It also reminds me of my family.
